Author’s POV

“He found us. He will kill us” her voice was full of fear and panic, hearing the gunshots blasting outside the alley they were hiding to save themselves from that devil who was hell bent to kill them.

His face was scrunching with fear, fear for her life while pulling her in her arms, pressing her face in his chest, feeling her tears wet his shirt but his eyes were shone from unwavering determination to save her from that Devil who found them only two months after their countless efforts of being hidden, everything went into the vain, their planning to shift to another country to settle their small world was ruined by devil of their life.

"I will be your shield” he said firmly stroking her hair softly to console her but she was too far away from being calm, she shook her head against his chest, murmuring between crying historically "I don't want you my shield, just stay with me, don't leave me alone.”

How could she let him be her shield when she knew very well that the devil won't waste a second to break through it to reach her.

She cursed herself for involving him in her mess, which could cost his life if he got his hands on them, and it won't take long as she could hear heavy boots approaching them.

Her fingers fisted his shirt tightly sobbing bitterly but his heart sunk feeling his body getting stiff before his grip tightened around her like a protective shell and the next second she felt a cold metal harshly touching her back head.  her breath hitched in her throat as she knew what it was.

A freaking gun

His heart pounded with horror, making his eyes wide, feeling another gun pressed on his head yet it wasn’t the weapon that terrified him most, it was her violently trembling in his arms, her face buried deeper into his chest in a futile attempt to hide from the devil who could end their story with two bullets but he was not merciful enough to grant them an easy death for humiliating him in the worst way possible.

A terrified scream tore out of her throat with a wave of horror hitting her hard, feeling a harsh grip on her hairs yanking her away from the only thing keeping her safe, causing her wriggle hard to get out of the brutal grasp holding her tightly.

“LEAVE ME, LET ME GO, I DON’T WANT TO GO WITH YOU” she shouted in pure panic, flying her hands and legs in the air making useless attempts to free herself while her tearful eyes darted to her husband to find him twisting in the arms on his men desperately to reach her, but they didn’t let him go while he was crying, begging and shouting whatever made them let her go even though he knew that this was his end.

“NO, DON’T HURT HIM, I……” her voice died in her throat as a familiar horrifying cologne hit her nostril, making her swallow hard while her heart went wild with terror ran too deep into her as her mind flashed those agonizing images that was haunting her day and night.

“Easy blaze” her struggled ceased the moment his cold voice boomed through the dark alley, making her freeze in his grip with her heart raced insanely fast, feeling a chilly shiver ran down in her spine, causing her shiver in involuntary as the colour drained from her face, her strength gave way, and she went limp in his grip, unable to stand on her own, her features contorted in utmost fear, sensing his blazing gaze moving over her in silent threat.

His arms wasted not a single second snaking tightly around her, pulling her against his chest.

One hand stroked her back up and down in a slow, agonizing rhythm, terrifying her even more than before, not for herself, but for her husband, whose desperate cries she could still hear. Yet she dared not lift her eyes, too afraid to meet the gaze of the villain of her life who held her.

He bent closer, inhaling her like an addiction, burying his nose into her hairs that made her cringe in disgust and repulsion, but fear paralyzed her completely, she could not react, could not push him away, trapped in his grip, broken and terrified.

“LEAVE HER, DON’T TOUCH HER” her husband shouted but he chose to ignore despite him wanting to rip him apart viciously as she was more important to him but an evil glint flashed in his dark eyes at his every fucking scream of helplessness.

It had been a whole, agonizing two months since he last saw her, since he touched her, held her which drove him into madness, consumed by a desperate need to find her but she fucking vanished into thin air, with that fucking lover boy of hers, leaving him restless, starving for her until at last, he found her.

His lips curled into an evil smirk as he lifted his head, one arm still locking her tightly against him while the other slid from her back to her face.

She squeezed her eyes shut in fear as his hand clamped around her jaw in a brutally painful grip, forcing her head upward.

A hiss of pain escaped her lips, but she dared not open her eyes, for she knew those piercing brown eyes of his still held the power to creep into her very soul.

“Blaze, open your eyes. I am dying to see your beautiful eyes” his voice was unnervingly calm, wrapped in darkness, but she wasn’t fool to be tempted by it.

His dark orbs, like a starved man, devoured every feature of her face.

His grip tightened around her waist, yanking her closer when he sensed her faint struggles to push him away when he was dying for her.

“Leave her!” her husband shouted, thrashing in their grip, his legs kicking wildly in the air.

That’s sit

That filthy trash was provoking him to make the death he had already planned even more painful but not now, when he was in his longing moment to have her in his arms after two damn painful months which he won’t let him ruin.

“Shut the fuck his mouth” his face twisted with irritation as he barked the order at his men who shoved a filthy cloth into his mouth, gagging him and muffling his screams while his desperate eyes pleaded with the devil for mercy which he knew would never come.

Still, he fought, desperate to save her from the devil who had already inflicted more pain than she could bear.

He snapped the moment she disobeyed his words that wasn’t the first time but he was desperate for her after spending two painful months away with no news of her.

She was never a weak, pathetic woman to blindly follow his commands. She had always opposed him bluntly, never caring about his furious image until he finally did something vicious to her, wounding her fierce soul.

A wounded soul that needed healing, but he was too cruel to give her time, breaking her again and again with new wicked ways.

“Fucking open these damm eyes” his booming voice was enough to make her eyes snap wide open, terror dancing across her features as she shivered violently, trembling more furiously than before.

Tears rolled down on her cheeks, dropping on his hand, causing him to tighten his hold to earn a painful hiss from her with her hands shot to his to pry it away from her face but one blazing look from him was enough to drop them down on his arms.

“Are you crying for him?” His voice came out harsh, his eyes growing darker, his jaw clenching so hard it sent goosebumps racing across her skin.

“NO” she didn’t waste a second to reply, sensing the shift in the air, his possessive obsession simmering with a ferocity ready to raise the storm growing in his wicked head.

His features morphed uglier as his gaze shifted to her husband, still struggling to break free but failing miserably every time, earning punches to his gut.

This time she couldn’t stop herself; she turned her head and gasped hard, finding her husband’s face bruised, lips split, tears streaming down as he stared at her helplessly. Yet he refused to stay still, no matter how many punches he took in return which didn’t go unnoticed by the devil, burning him with anger and envy.

Envy,

He fucking envied that man because never once had she looked at him the way she looked at him, Soft yet strong, full of love and concern which was enough to trigger something filthy in him.

Those two months she had spent away from him with this man had already been nothing less than torture, every second consumed by the thought of what they might be doing in his absence.

A furious growl ripped from his throat as his psychotic mind tormented him with visions of that worthless man touching her, setting every cell of his body on fire that only his blood could extinguish.

With a violent jerk, he shook her, making her scream in fear before shoving her back against the car window.

Sharp pain shot through her spine, forcing her eyes shut as her hands rose in defence but he was too quick to slam them hard above her head, his face leaning close, his furious breath striking her trembling lips, her heart thudding in pure horror.

His rough hand wrapped around her throat, choking her mercilessly, making her eyes roll down as her lungs burned for the oxygen.

“You fucking dare to betray me, you little shame” he snarled, rage boiling hard, making her shut her eyes more tightly with her aggressively threshing in his hold to make him loose but instead it turned into more brutal, blocking her breathing pipe more ruthlessly, making her breathing impossible with the pressure he was putting on her which didn’t go unnoticed by him but he was too enraged to let it effect him.

“You eloped with him while I was busy preparing your so‑called dream wedding” he roared, while she scrunched her nose in disgust at his audacity to claim this forced marriage as her dream wedding — the same marriage he had blackmailed her into by holding a gun to her family’s head, leaving her with no choice but to get engaged, even though all she ever gave him were curses.

She let out a low whimper breathlessly with him choking her roughly, causing him narrow his eyes at her face turning pale due to lack of oxygen, earning a frustrated grunt.

He released her neck with a harsh jerk, leaving her panting as she struggled to steady her breath. Yet he refused to free her hands, leaning close to her pale face, staring with the same dead intensity.

“If it had been anyone else in your place, I would have killed him the moment I saw you running away with this pathetic trash” he let them believe they could still escape, while like a predator he toyed with his prey until no path remained for them.

He rushed over the moment he got their whereabouts, but was quick to plan everything, giving his men strict instructions not to touch her at any cost.

She raised her head, glaring at him still with fear swirling in her gaze before pouring her vulnerability, kicking his fury to worst “then kill me,

A psychotic glint flickered in his mad eyes, lips twitching into a sick smile. His hand moved to her cheek, making her shrink further into herself, before he patted her slowly, shaking his head in mocking mockery.

“Surely I will kill, but not you, my little blaze,” he paused, madness flaring in every expression before turning his gaze swiftly to her husband. She followed his eyes, hearing the low, dangerous groan: “But him, he dares to touch what is mine.”

Her husband ducked his head for a moment before lifting it again, silently pleading for her life, though he knew how obsessed this man had been with her from the moment his evil gaze fell upon their beautiful life.

Pure obsession dripped from his threatening words, stealing her breath as panic surged, making her a wriggling mess in his grip as she shouted "NO, YOU WON’T TOUCH HIM"

“And why?” he demanded, blazing eyes fixed on her. She looked utterly terrified for her husband, which enraged him further—her fear belonged to him, not to that soon‑to‑die man.

“Because it was me who force him to elope with me so leave him” she took the all blame to protect her husband, though she knew his bruised ego would never let it go easily.

He yanked his hand away from hers, sending her crashing onto the hard concrete, scraping her knees. But she refused to acknowledge the pain, with death looming over her husband’s head.

He stepped back, his gaze never leaving her before plopping on the hood of the jeep behind him, slamming his hands with powerful thud, creeping her out.

She tried to crawl toward her husband but froze when his eyes locked on her, pressing her back against the car with her wrapping her arms around her trembling body, she struggled to gather herself as this vicious man was unpredictable for his moves whenever someone challenged him and she had a very past traumatic experience of it.

“So it means you forced him into that marriage registration,” he shot back, sucking breath out of her, pushing her fear worst the way her eyes widened.

She glanced at her husband, then swung her gaze back to him, shaking her head so harshly it was almost snapping.

“We needed it to leave the country” she spilled the truth, desperation lacing her pleading voice.

She fuckign wanted to leave him, unsettling him.

“Please don’t do anything to him. If you want to hut, just punish me” she begged but pleading for another man only fuelled his rage, making him more determined to unleash the worst on her husband.

“Krunal is innocent you—” he cut her off by his booming voice as he slammed his hands hard against the jeep, shaking it before yelling at his men “Rip that fucking cloth off him!”

“No, she was lying to save me! I was the one who proposed we run away and marry. Don’t do anything to her—if you want to hurt someone, kill me!” Krunal shouted in pure panic, thrashing violently as the cloth was torn away.

She shook her head desperately, begging, “No, don’t listen to him, he’s lying!”

That twisted exchange shattered the fragile restraint he had been clinging to. The devil she had been trying to chain for her sake was now fully unleashed—hungry for blood.

“Enough” his thundering voice boomed through the empty alley tearing the darkness, shuddering two frightening souls before him jumping off the jeep as he marched to her, giving her alarms bells to them with Krunal yelling to her to run but she was too numb to move even a single inch while his right-hand Hemant pointed gun at him who silent until now, watching his boss and friend’s madness.

“Don’t kill her” Krunal didn’t flinch, accepting his fate but still tried to save her when the devil growled “He dares to touch what is mine.”

And that’s it

“SHOOT” a painful scream split the night as Hemant shot Krunal’s left knee, his men throwing him down, writhing, clutching, rolling in agony; she rushed toward him, but the devil seized her arms and hurled her against the jeep, her hands reflexively flying to her stomach

“You fucking playing with my patience blaze” he grumbled, placing nozzle under her chin raising her head up to find her lips wobbling some incoherent words which he didn’t bother to hear.

“Don’t hurt her” KRUNAL shouted, pleading for her even though the pain was agonizingly unbearable for him but he couldn’t help himself to stop from sacring for her.

“shoot” his other knee mate with the same fate, leaving him screaming in pain but his eyes refused to leave her who stared at him with helpless, fear and love she held for him.

She instinctively pushed, whirling  to tun to him but a brutal grip lifted her, toes barely touching the ground, her hands slapping his arm in vain as he slammed her hard against the car, pinning her face to the glass.

A sharp pain shot through her head, her stomach twisting into something ugly she knew too well, while another order rang out, sending Hemant to fire into his shoulder.

“Please, don’t” No she can’t let him die for her when he did nothing except love her.

She was the unfortunate one caught the devil’s eyes, so why should he be punished?

She had to save him, but how?

something struck her hard as another cramp tore through her stomach, giving her the way to protect him.

““Giving him an easy death isn’t tempting, why not, Hemant, skin him alive?” with every passing second he grew more brutal, more wicked

“Where do you want me to start?” Hemant asked lazily, trailing his fingers along the dagger’s sharp edge, filling her with terror.

“Why don’t you start with his dick?” his voice effortlessly turned more psychotic.

“Nice choice, let’s begin,” Hemant said, moving toward the barely conscious man, bleeding furiously and near death without urgent treatment.

His fingers clamped her jaw, forcing her head to watch with her own eyes as she murmured low, then screamed when Hemant tore Krunal’s pants.

“I am pregnant,” she cried. An eerie silence froze every hand mid‑air, the devil himself stopping cold.

“With your baby”
